Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) uses PowerSchool to strengthen its communication between the school and home. Using the Parent Portal, parents and guardians can now access information online regarding their child’s grades, attendance, and school fees.
One of the great features of PowerSchool is parents and guardians only need to create one Parent Portal account regardless of the number of students they have within EIPS—meaning only one login to remember!
Login to the Parent Portal
To create a PowerSchool Parent Portal account:
Go to https://www.eips.ca/parents/powerschool
New EIPS Families
1. Input your email address in the Username field.
2. Select ‘Forgot Password’. You'll receive an email with a link to create a new password.
Returning EIPS Families
1. Input your current username and password
2. If you have forgotten your username or password please select ‘Forgot Password’ and choose the password or username tab to proceed.
Returning EIPS Families, please note the following:
• You do NOT need to create a new account each year. Once an account is created, it will stay active as long as you have students registered with EIPS.
• If you have a new student registering for the first time, they will automatically be added to your current account
Email Notifications
Within the PowerSchool Parent Portal, parents/guardians can manage email subscription preferences related to attendance, grades, etc. Simply log in to your Parent Portal account and click the “Email Notifications” tab along the left-hand menu to review your email notification settings and update them as needed.

Did you know there is a PowerSchool app? Download PowerSchool Mobile today on your Apple or Android device to stay connected with similar information available on the PowerSchool website. The same app can be used by both parents and students. You’ll have real-time access to attendance, upcoming assignments, grades and more. Sign-up for push notifications to stay up to date.
Links to download PowerSchool Mobile are available from the PowerSchool parent or student portals or directly from the App Store or Google Play. Use the Elk Island Public Schools district code, HXWF, and your PowerSchool portal username and password to login to the app. The first time you login, or if you haven’t used the app in a while, it may take three to five minutes for the app to load completely as it accesses all of your data from the PowerSchool server.
